BFL Challenge:
The hubby suggested we enter the last round of this years BFL challenge. The master champ male and female get 25,000 and the champs for each category get 10,000 and each get a home gym. Pretty motivating. What’s more motivating is having a set 12 weeks to reach a goal and feel amazing. I’m excited. I wasn’t kidding about being more fit the next time i hit the waves, or being able to do all the fun activities i want. Honestly it’s not about the body, and never has been, but it is always nice when my clothes look great even when I’m not dressed up.
The deadline is September 3rd i believe. Were starting in 1 week from today so wish us luck. It’s going to be hard, grueling and some time probably more then once I’m going to want to quit and come up with some good excuse why it’s not important healthy good for me or worth it. But I’m going to complete all 12 weeks and give it my all and archive my dreams.
As part of this i am going to make this a permanent lifestyle change. Not the 12 week program but the healthy eating consistent exercising. Start a new life. Start living my life to it’s fullest and achieve all the things i’ve been holding back.
Can you tell I’m a little excited. I’m working hard this week to prep for the challenge to created doable meal plans and schedule workouts. It will be fun… Seriously, who says that? I do, but I’m an athlete and this sort of thing is right up my alley.
Splash Park Photos:
For something a little less serious but fun. Here are some photos of my boys at the splash park. I switched the camera to the fast shutter because they run so fast but it made some pretty cool effects on the water.

Happy Monday! I usually don’t feel that way. I must be comming out of my Funk. The sun is shinning..oh wait it rained all day today. I really must be feeling better =) Oh, just got word that my bother in-law found a job. Everything is starting to look up…or maybe i’m just looking up more…who knows. Happy Monday!

The challenge sounds exciting! And you are obviously excited!
Have fun planning meals and workouts! And yes, it’s all about making lasting changes, which indeed is very exciting…
I love the pictures of your boys splashing in the water. We had our share of water fun this summer, and it was great!
Happy Monday!

WOW! This sounds like a great challenge. I love that you are going to be making it a lifestyle change and not just the 12 weeks. Good luck. Look forward to reading about your journey on this challenge.

Ooo. Tough, yet rewarding. Go for it! …and how I envy the little one running through the splashes. The only water my kid will go near is in the bath tub!

Good luck with the challenge! It sounds intense, but worthy!
And I love the pictures of your boys splashing in the fountains! We have one of those types of fountains in front of our office building, and my kids sometimes come over at lunchtime to use it. So fun to see.
Hey, I have an unrelated question for you. You’ve inspired me to investigate surf lessons for our family’s trip to Hawaii next year. (The kiddos have become interested in surfing, too, so we might try to do a family lesson.) Which exercises did you find most valuable in preparing you to live your surfing dream? (I’m praying you don’t say “burpees,” but I suspect they might be involved…
