Girl Time R&R
Had a blast visiting my girlfriend this weekend. A little road trip and visiting my favorite person always makes the world of difference in my sanity.
Take Time
How much time do we take or make if necessary for ourselves. I know i always think about it and think about things i’d rather do but a road trip is the only way i get my own 4 hours to just listen to the radio my thought and think about my life.
It was just great. The drive was beautiful. Sunglasses also make certain things look even more amazing, or they just tone down some of the brightness so you can really see what shines. That could make a really good life analogy. Forget rose colored classes just a good pair of sunglasses can help you see what shines or what’s really important. Man is nature beautiful. i love being out doors.
I found my passion
Ok i always had it…never lost it, but gave up on it a few times. Nu-Uh Never Again. I’m an athlete and that gets me going. Just thinking about jumping, running, swimming climbing, surfing, skiing, skating, kicking, shooting, hitting, lifting, and being fit gets me excited. I love the Olympics too. Anywho, just goes to show that although i may look good with long hair…i may butch it off so i can spend less time primping and more time playing =) I can still be feminine but just a female athlete. Oh yea. Time to get back to the grind.
Eat like an athlete
Well that’s not hard because i naturally crave healthy food and know how unhealthy foods make me feel. I think everyone is that way until they get addicted to sugar or caffeine or or or carbs. That’s where I’m at. Thanksgiving re-triggered some sugar addictions etc. Time to kick the cravings again and re-clean up the diet.
Most importantly time to get more active. Hit the gym and join that b-ball team that’s playing in January. I’ll need to practice, but I’ll get it back.
Yea I’m excited, even thinking about finding a way to get running again =) I’m sure i can find a brace that helps with something…either way I’ll find a way =)
Life is great and I’m grateful for my life.
Thanks to those of you who set an example to me by fighting for your lives. You truly inspire me.

oh so much truth this.. I often forget to put on any make up, even during times when I think I should, it is the last thing that crosses my mind, usually when I look in the mirror and realize I’m wearing a pretty outfit and not my usual workout clothes. Nature is wonderful, life is wonderful, and like you, I too am working on seeing and experiencing more of it!! Thanks for this important message.

I’m glad you had such a nice weekend! A little “me” time does wonders for your sanity and stress-relief, doesn’t it?!

I am trying to find my inner athlete too – I know she’s still in there somewhere!

Take Time… This is something I am not doing enough of. Funny, I do my absolute best, deepest and clearest thinking while highway driving. A perk of commuting that I no longer have. Might be worth my while to take my personal time at the beach, but maybe a beach at the North Shore that would require a 30min “commute” and get those thoughts rolling.
Love it when you make me think! I got a new blog going and have missed it and you dearly! XOXO
