Warning: This post will not be uplifting motivating or enlightening. It will however be real, truthful, and therapeutic for my sanity.

Why is it that whenever I’m running a fever i rhyme. I never try to. I actually think it’s cheesy but it just comes out that way.

Hubby still out of town and the oldest (3yrs) and i have fevers. Other than pure exhaustion and rhyming there really aren’t any other symptoms.

I’m tired of being sick. I’ve had a low grade fever every night for the past three months. I went into a Dr and had a full blood panel done the last time i was sick 3 weeks ago. I’m scheduled to go back in a week to see if my kidneys are still showing elevated functioning (miss spelled that the first time with no “n” almost left it that way lol). Whatever that means. I asked the nurse when she called what that meant and she had no clue. I’m going to follow thru with this until my symptoms are gone. I may even try to get in with a Dr I’ve heard of who also does preventative care thru nutrition etc…

While i was there i got on some medication to help with what i think is ulcer pain. Seems to be helping. I’ve tried natural ways like aloe juice and cabbage juice and it just got worse. One thing that soothed the pain completely was deglicerize licorice root. I should get some of that on hand again.

I’m not living to my full potential. I know i have talent that i’m not using. Fear i guess. I need to make a bucket list and start checking things off. i also need to embrace the present. There is so much fulfillment in enjoying the now. Living in the moment. There is also energy created in setting goals.

Ok, to hot to think straight. Going to go check temp again.

Tylenol’s not cutting it and Advil/Motrin is off the list. Anyone know of any foods that help lower fevers?

I’m so sorry you haven’t been feeling well. Not feeling well is really draining. I hope you’ll feel better soon and that you’ll get some answers.

And yes, living in the moment but also setting some goals are both so important. Otherwise life can become overwhelming.

    I hope you’ll feel better soon! :)

Ouch, be careful with the ulcer and the pills. My mom had one last year and was in the hospital for a month (during Christmas and New Year’s). The problem was she was using Motrin to ease the pain of arthritis but at the same time it was eating a hole in her stomach. Please…be mindful of that.

Hope your health starts to turn around and soon. It’s no fun being sick :(

AWWWW poor thing. I hope you feel better soon. That really sucks. I hate being sick too so I know how you feel. TRAPPED!! UGH.

In that bucket list… set some goals for yourself. it helps to have short term and long term goals.

As for what lowers your temp… hmmm, obviously your body is fighting something but 103 is certainly high. With Ibuprophen off the list, that leaves naproxen and tylenol but ask your doctor first of course.

Drink lots of water to stay hydrated and rest. Hopefully soon you’ll have some answers.

    Best,
    Terie

Thanks for all the support. I’m feeling a lot better today. Thanks to lots of water, and a little healthy exercise with some positive attitude.

Spin Diva: The last time i bought Naproxen was 10 years ago in Scotland. Didn’t know it was sold here. Sadly i might have some left.

Dave: I originally got an ulcer from stress, pain, and treating that pain with Ibuprofen too. Hope your mom is doing better. I’ve heard many people swearing by Nexium. For treatment and preventative. They mess with your entire system. I swear Ibuprofen should not be prescribed in large quantities.

Andrea: Thanks for the support. Nothing like the present and future to get your mind off the blegh =)
