Volley Ball Game and Gym Time
I finally made it to the gym. “What you resist persists, and what you deny strives”-Echart Tolle No kidding. I finally had to realize that morning just wasn’t going to happen so 8pm it was…except for Volleyball night on Thursdays. I found a local team and jumped right in at the first game of the season. I haven’t played in 10 years and back them we didn’t play by the rules, but being tall has it’s advantages at times. Playing goalie for 10 years also helps with the hand eye coordination but it’s been a while. I’d go straight from acing a serve to hitting the wall before if even went over the net. This Thursday is a Volleyball Clinic where a college coach comes and gives tips and…well trains.
I’ve having a blast. We have a killer team…i just need to get my game up to par so when they start using substitution they will use me =) If that’s how substitution works in volley ball. Anywho, can you tell I’m happy. Yea the gym did that, and a 3 day weekend. I was at the gym doing lat pulls and felt completely in my element. OK, this is where is stop and realize that being a personal trainer would be right up my ally. Seriously i love health and fitness why not. Motivating (not pushing) but truly motivating and uplifting others to reach their personal fitness goals would be a blast. Ultimately it will be their reward and will be totally up to them to change their lives..but helping them realize that, setting an example, and following my own personal dream is what i want to be doing. Most likely I would just work with clients at nights and in the mornings when my kids are in school. Not just a dream. It’s gona’ happen.
BFL Challenge: Ok so the first week i got started a little slow. I read thru the competition rules and i can’t share my “success story” with you guys or the photos. I’ll share what I’m eating and what my exercise is but keep the essay stuff for the comp.
Example of what I’m currently eating:
Breakfast: Bran Flakes/Eggs (3 whole)/Supplement-D, Glucosamine,Triple Omegas,C
Snack1: EAS Protein Shake w/ Skim Milk
Lunch: Tuna on 1 piece of toasted bread made with low fat mayo and lettuce
Snack2: Peanut butter Apple/EAS Protein Shake w/ water
Dinner: Chicken/Broccoli/Brown Rice
Snack3: Honey Nut Cheerios w/ skim milk
Writing this out makes me realize how off my diet is from the BFL game plan. Let’s see if i can step up my game this week.
Exercise: Soccer, Volleyball, Intensive House Cleaning, Treadmill Cardio, and Upper body Weights.
Time to get the lower body weights going. Cardio can only do so much. Time to create some new priorities and form habits.
Ok, enough about me. Tell me about you.

I’ve always wanted to be/become a naturally athletic person. Not necessary someone who plays sports, I’m not a fan anyway, but someone who is excited to go hiking and is good at it. I’ve always wanted this to just be a natural part of who I am.
